About Us

We are a small family with a passion for animals, gardening, and all things nature. We started Hidden Hollow in late 2022 when we moved into a new home with plenty of room to pursue our homesteading dreams, starting with a garden and some friendly chickens. While it's been a wild journey so far, we are learning a lot, having a lot of fun, and slowly building something truly special! We are so excited and grateful to share our experience with others. The trees, rocks, waterfalls, caves, and animals of Hidden Hollow have brought us so much joy, and we can't wait to share it with you!

Current Offerings Include:

  • Fresh chicken eggs ($3 per half dozen, $5 for dozen)

Meet the Chickens

Learn more about Gloria, Sticky, Red, and our other chickens below.

We bought 4 Rhode Island Reds and 4 Comets in April of 2023. Their first home was a dog kennel in our garage that had both a heating pad and a heat lamp. They received plenty of handling time from Bri, and they grew quickly!

Rick quickly got to work on the chickens' new home and outdoor space. With a large amount of predators nearby, we knew we wanted them in an enclosed space, but we also wanted them to have plenty of space and sunshine.

The chickens were moved to their new home in early summer! They have plenty of branches to roost on, bugs to chase after, and they often get fresh treats from the garden (or veggies from the freezer). They have a gravity-fed feeder and waterer as well as an automatic coop door!

The chickens lay brown and light brown eggs of varying sizes. They are very social, and they love to run up to the gate when you go visit them! The chickens provide us with eggs and fertilizer for the garden, and we provide them with a spacious, safe home and plenty of food. We love our chickens!
